Let’s Validate Your Hazardous Area Classification!!

HACADS has added a new service for existing facilities hazardous area classification validation. Common practice suggests that hazardous area classification systems need to be reviewed at 3-year intervals as part of the risk assessment which is considered good practice. Let's verify your current (old) hazardous area classification system with HACADS and create a safer, manageable and model-based system. Please call us for more details sales@hacads.com

Adequate Ventilation Requirements

If gases, vapors, mists, and dust are released into the atmosphere, they spread out more effectively in an environment with little or no flammable concentration. Unlike natural ventilation, artificial ventilation is generated through non-natural manmade air movements. A combination of natural and artificial ventilation can improve the quality and rate of diluent air recirculation entering an indoor volume in some indoor ventilation cases. HACADS has a built-in ventilation calculation module for indoor & outdoor locations with natural and artificial ventilation calculation methods which can help you to determine adequate ventilation conditions for any process areas and building to optimize ventilated airflow in potentially hazardous areas. To predict airflow, HACADS utilizes the IEC 60079-10-1 method, which accurately calculates the effects of different ventilated airflow scenarios to optimize ventilation rates, minimize hazardous area zone extents, and reduce persistence times.  HACADS has also developed a hazardous area extent calculation function per the IEC, API, and local codes. Using more accurate estimation tools generally saves in terms of capital and operational expenditure. HACADS can help you define your ventilation requirements. If you would like to discuss how HACADS could help, please do not hesitate to contact HACADS for information.

API RP 500 Module Added

The API Recommended Practice 500 (RP 500) is Recommended Practice for Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities module has been integrated into HACADS. This new module will provide to analyses/design as Class 1, Division 1, and Division 2 as RP 500 is referred to as the division system. Please contact Hacads for details.
